From Ulaanbaatar, the journey leads to the stunning rocky mountains of the Gobi region. Among these is Zorgol Mountain, home to several caves, with the largest being "Dance Ran." This tour will explore the Tommt Cave, located to the northwest of Zorgol Mountain. While typically frequented only by birds, this cave can be explored under the guidance of a professional climber.

The name Zorgol means "fawn," and legend has it that a doe with her fawn once lived here. Facing constant threats from wolves, the doe would turn her fawn into stone to hide it safely and then restore it with her milk upon returning. However, one day a crow's shadow fell over the fawn, and it could no longer be restored. This tale is part of the local lore.

ツアー行程

Depart from Ulaanbaatar at 7:30 AM to head towards the South Gobi region, with a travel time of approximately 4.5 hours. After setting up camp and having lunch, hike Zorgol Mountain in the afternoon, aiming for the summit. From this rocky peak, enjoy panoramic views in all directions, offering a sensation similar to flying over the vast steppe. Wildlife encounters may include deer, Mongolian ibex, wild goats, and occasionally wolves. After descending, enjoy free time and a traditional Mongolian barbecue, Khorhog (stone-baked lamb), around the campfire. Hiking takes approximately 2-3 hours, with a travel distance of 110 km on paved roads and 60 km on dirt roads.

Breakfast at the camp is followed by a challenge: exploring a cave inside a 100-meter-high rock formation. Enter the cave using either a rope descent from the top or an ascent from below. Mongolian professionals will ensure safety and provide full support. Conquer your fears and embrace this new adventure. In the afternoon, visit a nomadic Ger for a horseback riding experience before returning to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. The return journey includes 110 km on paved roads and 60 km on dirt roads. Enjoy your adventure and create lasting memories.

予定にはない突然のことだったのにもかかわらず急遽オリジナルのプランを組んでいただきツアーをさせてもらうことが出来ました。

ツアー内容は、個人でやろうと思ってもできないことばかりで、モンゴルの大自然や遊牧民の方々の生活を身近に感じることができ、とても充実した内容でした。

ツアー中は常に気にかけてくださり、食事面や体調面でも不自由なく楽しむことが出来ました。

スタッフの方は日本語がペラペラなので移動中も楽しくお話することができ、大満足でとてもいい思い出になりました。
