Mandzushiri Route

Mandzushiri Route

To reach Manzushir Khiid, you drive 51 km on a paved road and arrive at the parking lot at the trailhead. The route from Manzushir Khiid to the summit of Tsetsee Gun is approximately 6 km one way, following a well-trodden path marked with yellow and blue paint. Along the way, there are rest areas, sunshades, tables, and chairs. However, despite the abundance of markers, it’s easy to get lost if you’re not careful, and people often stray from the path to avoid fallen trees, which frequently leads to getting lost. There are no shops or public restrooms along the route, so you’ll need to prepare water and food for 4–8 hours. While the trail doesn’t have steep inclines, it features a gentle elevation gain of about 500 meters from 1,802 meters to 2,256 meters, making it comfortable for training. For access, it’s convenient to take a taxi (10,000–20,000 tugriks) or a bus to Zaisan Hill and start your hike from there. Be sure to bring water, snacks, appropriate shoes, and warm clothing suited to the season, and if hiking alone, it’s recommended to inform someone of your route.

In this way, Bogd Khan Uul, with its proximity to Ulaanbaatar and its natural and historical value, can be considered an ideal location for training. Let me know if you need more detailed information!
