Expedition Highlights

1. Meet a Kazakh Eagle Hunter — Altai Mountains

Experience the living tradition of Kazakh eagle hunting in western Mongolia.

Visit a genuine eagle hunter's family and learn about the relationship between hunter and Golden Eagle, traditional equipment and the role of eagle hunting in Kazakh nomadic culture.

Enjoy traditional hospitality, experience local customs and take a guided horseback ride through the surrounding Altai landscapes.

2. Ancient Landscapes & Dinosaur Heritage — The Gobi

Explore two of the Gobi Desert's most remarkable landscapes: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) and Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs).

Walk among the colorful sedimentary cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga, formed from ancient marine deposits, then continue to Bayanzag, internationally renowned for its important dinosaur fossil discoveries.

These dramatic landscapes offer exceptional opportunities for hiking, photography and exploring Mongolia's geological and paleontological heritage.

3. Khongoryn Els — The Singing Dunes

Experience the vast Khongoryn Els, one of Mongolia's most iconic sand dune landscapes.

Ride a traditional Bactrian camel along the edge of the dunes, explore the surrounding oasis and climb the sand dunes for panoramic views across the Gobi.

Under the right conditions, the movement of the sand can create the distinctive low humming sound that gives Khongoryn Els its name — the Singing Dunes.

4. Ikh Gazryn Chuluu — Granite Wilderness

Discover the spectacular granite formations of Ikh Gazryn Chuluu in Mongolia's Middle Gobi.

After several days of exploring the Altai and Gobi, this remote landscape provides a quieter final stage of the expedition.

Take a short walk among the granite formations, enjoy the surrounding steppe and experience the peaceful atmosphere of one of Mongolia's lesser-known natural landscapes.

5. Comfort in the Wilderness

Our expedition combines remote landscapes with practical comforts designed to make the journey more enjoyable.

  • Satellite Connectivity: Stay connected in selected remote locations where satellite internet is available.
  • Expedition Camping: Quality tents, sleeping equipment and organized camp facilities throughout the wilderness sections.
